Spa and Fitness Fun with Panorama.
The top spa hotel. A sizeable 4,000 square metres dedicated to spa and fitness. A place where families and children will feel comfortable, thanks to family apartments and kid's club.
A family of passionate hoteliers runs this hotel: Josef Stock, brother of ski ace Leonhard Stock, and his family manage the Sporthotel Stock, ably supported by their committed team.
The family has created a spa and fitness area in the Zillertal without compare: on 4,000 square metres there are, for example, an indoor and an outdoor pool with glorious views across the mountains, a warm salt water pool, a Kneipp system zone, eleven different types of sauna and 21 treatment cabins in the beauty section.
'Stock Diamond' is Christine Stock's own label. She has created a skin care line incorporating finely ground rock crystal substances and natural essences. The Sports and Spa Hotel Stock, however, does not just offer beauty and relaxations treatments for women, but also for men - and for kids! The treatments for children and teenagers include, for example, a chocolate pack and a 'pit-stop' for boys who just want to 'chill-out'...By the way, if you feel slightly overwhelmed by this myriad of different spa treatments, do not despair: there is a comprehensive spa glossary on the hotel's homepage, from A for abhyanga (ayurvedic massage with sesame oil) to Z for zilgrei (a holistic self-therapy method incorporating movements named after birds!).
A lot is being done here for families. There is a free babysitter service for children under three. After that, it's off to the kid's club, where the child care assistants spontaneously come up with new (indoor and outdoor) games every day, suitable for the respective age group. There are even supervised meals from 1 pm to 6 pm, and of course there is a kid's menu available in the evenings.
The hotel has a total of 96 rooms furnished in country cottage style, around half of those are suites, including family suites. For winter sports fans, there is the Finkenberger Almbahn, only 200 metres away, and 30 kilometres of winter hiking trails also start in the immediate vicinity. On six days of the week, ski guides are available for free.
In culinary terms, the spa hotel aims for health-consciousness and variety. On the breakfast and fitness buffets, for example, a green dot denotes products that are particularly rich in nutrients, low fat and low calorie. The acid-base balance is also noted. At lunchtime, there is a 'fitness buffet' in the Kaminhalle, in the evenings a 5-course menu. Special dietary needs are always considered, or rather, you can even select the 'gourmet-dieting-menu' from the outset. There are themed evenings where Italian food or Asian wok cooking are explored, at other times, traditional Austrian cuisine is on the menu, which should appeal especially to anyone with a sweet tooth: there is a whole evening devoted to Kaiserschmarrn and Palatschinken, Austria's two famous dessert specialities.
